The Grosvenor Grand Prix is the biggest pot limit hold’em poker tournament in Europe. Now in it’s sixth year, it is a qualification only tournament. No players are permitted to buy-in directly, everyone must qualify via a series of £50 rebuy satellites, which are taking place in every Grosvenor and G casino card room and online exclusively on Blue Square Poker, who are generously adding £25,000 to this year’s prize pool.
The first of the six national qualifying days takes on Saturday 6th of September, when super satellites take place simultaneously at 2pm in all 20 Grosvenor and G casinos with card rooms. The next five qualifying days take place on Saturdays during September and October - please see the qualifying schedule page for full details. There will also be three last chance qualifiers taking place in Walsall on 27th, 28th and 29th of October and there are six online qualifiers taking place on Blue Square Poker. One in every eight plavers qualifies and everyone who does will play in the Grosvenor Grand Prix Final, which takes place at the Grosvenor casino in Walsall from October 30th - November 2nd. There is also a full schedule of supporting events taking place in Walsall during the week.
This year the Grand Prix has become a part of the Grosvenor UK Poker Tour (GUKPT). The winner of the event will also pick up a seat into the GUKPT Grand Final, worth £3,150 and a seat into the Champion of Champions £75,000 tournament. The winners of support events taking place at the Grand Prix festival will also win seats in the Champion of Champions tournament (only applies to support events with a buy-in of £100 or more)
